This actually consists of countless embankments, tunnels, Rail Tracks, viaducts, rolling stocks etc. Many independent companies are there in public, private and government sector providing rail consulting services to different segments of railways business worldwide. This Project of �Balfour Beatty Rail- Tracking and Signalling to India �is also based on railways industry and our management research group project proposition that Balfour Beatty Rail, a large and leading international rail engineering, design and construction business company, has significant potential to explore the Indian rail market for Signalling & Communication (Data loggers), Measurement Systems (USFT, Track Geometry, OHL) and Asset management Software (Data maps). As per the specific needs from the BBR, this report identifies and evaluates the conceivable points of market entry and extended scope for the business expansion in India in Indian railways across an extended product offering. The strategies for business needs have been actively described linking with the customer thinking and required approval from authorities in IR. The view on market size of the potential opportunity in IR growing market has been recognised for BBR. The project has shown massive opportunities and challenges which should be considered by BBR. The growth opportunities for private participation and Foreign direct investment in railways project has been anticipated as private partnership is recognized as a thrust area for future business growth.
