Adsorption method using activated carbon as the adsorbent has been widely used for the removal of phenolic compounds from wastewater. As the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent will diminish with prolonged application, regeneration of the spent adsorbent is a good option to reduce wastes and conserve resources.
