The Norwegian gender quota law has brought a lot of attention to the influence of female representation on firm financial performance to researchers. This research study comprises of analysis based on 30 Norwegian companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange between 2002 to 2009. Empirical findings indicate that a rise in female representation on the board of directors, due to the gender quota implementation, has had no significant effects on firm financial performance, this is confirmed using robustness checks, aligning with previous literature.
