Summary:The paper analyses the state of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) engaged in Auto component manufacturing in India. It studies the past and present of this industrial segment and tries to predict the future prospects of the industry. The objective of the research is to analyze the performance of small and medium enterprises engaged in Auto Component manufacturing and to evaluate available opportunities and challenges for them in India The literature review describes the overall Chinese economy and factors affecting its growth whether positively or negative. For this purpose of research, qualitative research methodology has been chosen. The researcher has taken interviews in order to understand and satisfy the aims and objectives of this research. The results from the interviews have been discussed and analyzed by dividing them into various themes based on the literature review. Lastly, the concluding thoughts of this study discuss the limitations and recommendations.
