Summary:·n1e purpose of this research is to study the strength of maize stamp fibers and resin/polymer material. This study is start from the preparation of maize fiber where maize fther is produced from the stamp of the maize. When U1e preparation maize fibers are done, these maize fibers will be submerged into the NaOH solution for 24 hour. The concentrations of NaOJ 1 arc 5%. Beside that, the orientation of fiber also has been study where the options are one straight layer and two perpendicular layers. In the fabrication process, cold-press process has been chosen. The sample dimensions arc chosen according U1e ASTM standard. The testing that is done in this study are tensile test and flexurnl test. The purpose of the test is to analyze and observe the composite quality in order to produce optimum material. The result of the project does not achieved for U1e application of shield ballistic annor due to several factors especially in low bonding ability between maize fiber and resin /polymer.
