Isolated pancreatic tail injury: A rare presentation
•Due to the retroperitoneal location of the pancreas isolated pancreatic injuries are very rare.•An isolated pancreatic injury may be missed due to delayed presentation.•Helical multislice CT scan has both high sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of pancreatic injuries.
