Translation study literature reveals that issues of translation proper and translation linguistics are not in the focus of those studies and research. Instead, the focus so far is on the issues of text linguistics, discourse studies in translation and/or other issues. This claim, by all means, is expected to overtly pave the way to bring to the fore studying and researching translation labels that may result in more comprehensive understanding of the nature of the interdisciplinary relationships between translation, its theory and research on the one hand and linguistics on the other.
