Summary:Information and communications technology in teaching and learning activities is growing very rapidly and over developed with educational needs in the 21 st century now. However, the usage of information and communication technologies during teaching and learning activities among teachers, especially teachers of Islamic education should be considered because the utilization of it is unsatisfactory and still at a low level. Thus, this study is to determine the level of understanding on the concept of information and communication technology, acceptance level towards the use of information and communication technology, the role of information and communication technologies, the use of information and communication technologies in teaching and learning activities of Islamic Education Teacher East oa t and the relationship and the effect between the variables contained in the study. This study is a quantitative research using the survey method for the study of descriptive and inferential study to obtain data as research designs. Respondents involved as research samples comprises of 230 people of Islamic Education Teachers who are currently serving in three East Coast states (Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu). The research instruments represents one set of questionnaires which uses a five-point Likert scale as a main research tool in collecting data and the reliability of que tionnaire item .87 Cronbach Alpha was obtained. Data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package for Social Science version 22 for Windows (SPSS) for descriptive statistical analysis (mean and percentage frequency) and inferential statistical analysis (t-test, ANOV A, correlation and regression). The finding of descriptive statistics showed the highest of mean score for each aspect of the under tanding on the concept of information and communication technologies (mean = 4.1 I), acceptance level towards the use of information and communication technologies (mean = 3.81), the role of information and communication technologies in teaching (mean = 4.30) and the use of information and communication technologies in teaching and learning activities (mean = 3.66) among Eastern Islamic Education Teachers involved in this study. Meanwhile, the findings through inferential statistical analysis showed there were relationship (weak and medium weak) and effect (yes and no) between the variables studied. This means, the findings based on descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis showed all of the aspects studied were at a very positive level. Based on the findings, some recommendations have been given to make improvements towards the use of information and communication technologies in teaching and learning of Islamic Education Teachers. The results of this study also may contribute towards implications of teaching and learning in information and communication technology in education.
