|a The incidence of diabetes around the world is rapidly rising. Predominant causative factors include age, lifestyle and obesity with up to 90% of the diabetic population having type 2 diabetes. As a direct result of this rise, the need for nurses with diabetics expertise has also risen. This program has been developed as a response to growing demand for diabetic nursing knowledge, signs and symptoms awareness, and management of type 2 diabetes. It will provide an invaluable learning resource for both nursing students and clinical nurses delivering hands-on nursing care.
