| Summary: | Surf, sun, sport and the great outdoors, Australians have a great way of life, but our lifestyle can also cause many health problems and are known as lifestyle disease. Diets high in fat and sugar, increasing amounts of time spent watching TV and playing computer games and poor food choices contribute to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, dental decay and anaemia. These diseases effect millions of Australians and in many cases are caused by poor habits and lifestyle choices. Students will gain an understanding of these diseases and the impact they are having on the health of Australia's population
