Saban Center for Middle East Policy

Brookings Institution
. Doran has also served as a
visiting professor

Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service

, and as an assistant professor in Near Eastern Studies at
Princeton University
, following earlier teaching at the
University of Central Florida
. He served in government as a senior director at the
National Security Council
and as deputy assistant secretary for public diplomacy at the
U.S. Department of Defense
during the
George W. Bush administration
. Doran publicly supported the
invasion of Iraq
and advocated a passel of “regime change” policies targeting Middle East countries.
