Conceptual Study Of Enzymatic Wax Ester Synthesis In The Batch Reactor At Steady State And Isothermal Conditions
Published 2021“…A mathematical model based on the mol balance in the batch reactor and Ping Pong Bi-Bi enzymatic rate equation was developed to study the kinetic parameter, thermodynamic parameter and operational parameter of enzymatic esterification in batch reactor. POLYMATH software (version 6) was used for the simulation of this mathematical model. …”

Kinetic Studies of Free Fatty Acid Esterification using Cation Exchange Resins as Catalyst
Published 2017“…The kinetic parameters i.e., the rate constant, adsorption coefficients and activation energy were determined using the non-linear regression analysis in POLYMATH 6.10 program. Findings: The kinetic results revealed that the esterification reaction of SUCO using SHER was successfully fitted with LHHW model, whereas for RCP160M and SK104H the experimental data was well fitted by the ER model (Case II) and ER model (Case I) respectively. …”

Study on the kinetics of cation exchange resins as catalysts in free fatty acid (FFA) esterification of simulated used cooking oil
Published 2018“…The study proceeded with the kinetics of FFA esterification by developing three kinetic models; Pseudo homogeneous (P-H), Langmuir-Hinshelwood-Hougen-Watson (LHHW) and Eley-Rideal (Case I and Case II) to determine rate constant and activation energy of the reaction using POLYMATH 6.10 program. The results revealed that RCP160M was found to give the best catalytic performance as it outperformed the other catalysts and achieved maximum FFA conversions. …”
