Microwave enhanced processing of ores
Published 2010“…Recent research developments have suggested that microwave assisted comminution could provide a step change in ore processing. This is based on the fact that microwave-absorbent phases within a multi-mineral ore can be selectively heated by microwave energy hence inducing internal stresses that create fracture. …”

An assessment of dust generation from ores
Published 2006“…Based on this logic, an experimental methodology was developed, which aimed to assess how dust was generated for each different mechanism and for a variety of ores of different mineralogy. Five different ores were tested, a limestone, talc, an iron ore, a lamproite and a copper ore and the same experimental methodology was followed for each. …”

Experimental study on floatation of scheelite ore of Jiangxi
Published 2014“…In this study, according to the characteristics of scheelite in run-of-mine, the scheelite was concentrated by adopting the full flotation process with sodium carbonate as regulator agent, sodium silicate as inhibitor for gangue minerals, lead nitrate as activator and ZL pharmacy as collector. 6.15% of the coarse scheelite concentration with tungsten recovery of 96.18% was obtained from the raw ores with grade of 0.86%. The concentration of rough tungsten by heating, by which the high-quality scheelite with tungsten of 62.31% and tungsten concentrate recovery of 93.53% was obtained.…”

Thiosulfate as an alternative lixiviant to cyanide for gold ores
Published 2016“…It is relatively inexpensive and nontoxic, forms strong gold and silver complexes, and readily leaches gold ores when catalyzed by Cu(II). Research over the past 30 years has focused mostly on the understanding and applying the copper-catalyzed ammoniacal thiosulfate system to carbonaceous ores and copper–gold ores where gold recovery is poor when using cyanide or where cyanide consumption is high. …”
