Effects of different precooling techniques on repeat sprint ability in team sport athletes
Published 2014“…A moderate ES (d = 0.57) also indicated lower TC in J + ice slushy (38.2±0.3) compared to ice slushy (38.4±0.4°C) after half-time cooling. Change (?) in mean skin temperature over half-time cooling was significantly greater (p = 0.036) for J (1.0±0.4°C) compared to ice slushy (0.5±0.5°C), and ES (d = 0.5-1.10) also suggested a greater ? …”

Thermal properties and morphologies of poly(ethylene terephthalate) in blends with epoxidized natural rubbers / Siti Farehah Suliman @ Sulaiman
Published 2010“…The rate of crystallization of PET in blends is characterized by the reciprocal half time (t0.5-1). It displays an Arrhenius-like behavior with respect to temperature and it stays constant at isothermal crystallization temperature, Tc = const as long as PET is in excess. …”

A preliminary study on foamed bitumen stabilisation for Western Australian pavements
Published 2010“…Our findings show that 2.5% of cold water spraying into 180°C virgin Class 170 bitumen can produce foamed bitumen with a 15 to 20 times expansion rate and 20 s half-time suitable for foaming aggregates. Both resilient modulus and permanent deformation tests failed to predict an optimum foamed bitumen content when the aggregate was mixed with 1% hydrated lime, compacted at 100% optimum moisture content and plastic sealed curing for 7 days at room temperature. However, the ratio of crushed granite roadbase to limestone was found to be significant and a mixture consisting of 75% crushed rock base and 25% crushed limestone was determined as the optimum aggregate proportion, as it showed the best performance in unconfined compressive strength tests and obtained relatively higher values in indirect tensile strength tests. …”

Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of poly(lactic acid)/kenaf fiber composites
Published 2020“…It was found that KF size of 80-106 µm acts as nucleating agent during non-isothermal crystallization of PLA/KF composites since the values of half-time of crystallization (t1/2) of PLA80 were the fastest as compared to neat PLA and other PLA/KF composites at a given cooling rate. …”

Effect of pre-cooling on repeat-sprint performance in seasonally acclimatised males during an outdoor simulated team-sport protocol in warm conditions
Published 2013“…Trials began with a 30-min baseline/cooling period followed by an 80 min repeat-sprint protocol, comprising 4 x 20-min quarters, with 2 x 5-min quarter breaks and a 10-min half-time recovery/cooling period. A clear and substantial (negative; PC slower) effect was recorded for first quarter circuit time. …”
