Parallelization of logic regression analysis on SNP-SNP interactions of a Crohn’s disease dataset model
Published 2017“…The Crohn’s disease GWA studies dataset from the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium (WTCCC) that includes 4,680 individuals with 500,000 SNPs’ genotypes was analyzed using logic regression on a computer cluster to evaluate SNPInt performance. The results from SNPInt with any number of CPUs are the same as the results from non-parallel approach, and SNPInt library quite accelerated the logic regression analysis. …”

Geodetic VLBI correlation in software
Published 2009“…Correlation algorithms for geodetic very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) can now be effectively implemented on parallel computers of modest size.We have undertaken a detailed comparison of the output from a trusted geodetic correlator, one that has supported global geodetic VLBI observations for many years, with the output of a software correlator implemented on a small parallel computing cluster. We show that the correlator outputs agree closely, within expected error bounds, after accounting for the differences in the adopted geometric delay models, and therefore that use of the software correlator is feasible for geodetic VLBI processing, as a first step toward routine geodetic data processing. …”

A novel hierarchical clustering algorithm for the analysis of 3D anthropometric data of the human head
Published 2018“…As a result, 95.0% of the studied sample was classified inside one of the four computed clusters. Compared to conventional hierarchical techniques, our method could classify a higher ratio of individuals into a smaller number of clusters, while still satisfying the same variation requirements within each cluster. …”
