description This paper presents the investigation on the strength and vibration analysis of a propeller design for a 800 deadweight container ship which is based on the Bp - (delta) series. Such analysis is important since the significant role of the propeller to convert the greater part of the power from an engine into thrust force to propel a ship and ensure that resonants of propeller induced vibration does not coincide with the main hull vibration. Various methods of analysis is studied in order to compare the results obtained and to justify that such method comply with the classification societies.
