| description | Antioxidative activity of cinnamtannin B1 from Cinnamomum zeylanicum Blume was investigated. Antioxidants assay were carried out using lipid peroxidation by ferric thiocyanate (FTC) and DPPH radical scavenging analyzed with ultraviolet spectroscopy and electron spin resonance spectroscopic methods. Cinnamtannin B1 exhibited antioxidant activity in a series of in vitro test. It was found to be active inhibit lipid peroxidation in ferric thiocyanate method. It was also active scavenged the radical 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhyrazyl which was analyzed with ultraviolet and electron spin resonance spectrometer with IC50 of 36 mM and 0.2 uM respectively. |
