description Mental health issues are a significant public health concern throughout the world. Study indicates that mental illness is one of the leading factors of disability and health loss in Malaysia. Positive Mental Health Literacy among people is a crucial component for the positive mental health of the population in Malaysia. The development of new media such as internet-based social media and search engines and websites has contributed to improving mental health literacy among young adults. This research aims to study how young adults perceive new media used to improve mental health literacy through the scope of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Theory in Malaysia. TAM is applied to models and explains how young adults accept and use new media to improve mental health literacy. The quantitative research method was adopted to collect data from samples. A total of 190 Malaysians aged 18-26 participated in the research. The results indicate that the majority of young adults positively perceive new media used to improve mental health literacy. The hypotheses formulated according to the previous study and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Theory are all supported. There are a few limitations in this study and recommendation areas for future research
