description COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant impact to people around the world, including the university students. Reports showed that university students were the second highest group of individual infected with the disease. Therefore, it is important for student to have good knowledge level, attitude and level of practice (KAP) towards standard precautions. To determine student’s KAP towards standard precautions in the prevention of COVID-19 in a private university in Kajang. A cross-sectional study was conducted from 5th to 14th March 2022 among 293 undergraduate students in a private university in Kajang using online questionnaire. Participants were recruited via convenience sampling method. Data collected were analysed using SPSS Statistics 22. Nearly all participants had good knowledge level (94.2%) and level of practice (99.3%) towards COVID-19 standard precaution. Participants had good attitude towards four of the five variables in attitude assessment (91.8% self-quarantine, 82.9% wearing facemask, 86.3% social distancing and 85.7% vaccines). 38.2% of them showed poor attitude towards consultation. There were no significant associations found between KAP with sociodemographic characteristics, except for attitude (self-quarantine) and gender (χ2=4.645, p=0.046). Significant association found between attitude (self-quarantine and vaccines) with knowledge (χ2=10.807, p=0.008 and χ2=15.738, p=0.001) and practice with attitude (vaccines) (χ2=12.035, p=0.020). No significant association discovered between practice and knowledge KAP towards COVID-19 standard precautions were relatively high among university students. Findings from this study proved that the university’s infection control measures were well managed.
