刘知几《史通》论司马迁之史家修养
唐代刘知几在前人基础下，首次提出史才三长论，指出史家应具「才」、「学」、「识」的条件，建构出一套史家修养理论的雏形。本文将从《史通》内外篇中，搜寻有关史才、史学、史识的论点，建构出史才三长之论证，后再从其三长内涵出发，分析刘知几对司马迁有关史才、史学、史识的评价，审视其评价是否基于其三长论并具备客观性。正文先以一章梳理《史通》以前史家修养论的发展，并分析史才三长论的形成背景，后再以一章分析、归纳刘知几的史才三长论及对司马迁的评价，透过纵向比较历代学者对司马迁的评价，总结出刘知几对司马迁评价的特色。由于刘知几受时代及自身能力的局限，其评价多显苛刻，其中亦有不少矛盾及偏驳之处，故需慎辨之。...
