| Summary: | The concept of transparency is not a new concept and it has been the interest of the corporate research literature for a few decades. This research paper is to study the relationship between the minority shareholders’ satisfaction and the six key variables of disclosures that are corporate information disclosure, financial information disclosure, corporate governance disclosure, dividend disclosure, voting right disclosure and corporate transparency between female and male. From the findings of this study, overall the minority shareholders are satisfied on the corporate transparency of the public listed companies in Malaysia. This also indicates that the level of corporate transparency is quite high. This is mainly because most of the information measured in this research are mandatory to be disclosed. In conclusion, most minority shareholders from Klang Valley area are satisfied with the corporate transparency of the public listed companies in Malaysia. |
