| description | Sexual harassment in our society, medical, and nursing students has spread as part of our society, especially as they spend considerable time in hospitals during clinical training and deal with different types of people. The objective of this study is to determine the perception on sexual harassment among nursing and medical program students during clinical practice in Health Campus, USM. A cross-sectional study was used in this study. A total of 210 nursing and medical students from Health Campus, USM who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were involved in this study. They were selected through a disproportionate stratified random sampling method. Data collected were statistically analyzed using the statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) software version of 26. This study shows that 10.0% of respondents have a negative perception level of sexual harassment during clinical practice. Gender and program of study were found to have a significant association with level of perception on sexual harassment during clinical practice (p = 0.001) and (p = 0.001). The result present of this present study revealed that there is no significant association between age and level of perception on sexual harassment among nursing and medical students during clinical practice in Health Campus, USM (p = 0.110). In conclusion, positive perception regarding the sexual harassment is very important to prevent sexual harassment occur during clinical practice. |
