George Town is a heritage city in Penang Island in Malaysia, which was listed in the world heritage site by the UNESCO in July 2008. The contemporary needs as it hosts of foreign and local visitors creates a type of shifting on the architectural identity. Therefore, the elements of the facades started to lose the authenticity of the heritage value.
