| description | Isoamyl acetate has high market demand. To achieve high production rate and yield, kinetic model is required in order to the understand relationship between operating parameters. The kinetic modelling is studied to estimate the concentration profile from time to time. The kinetic model developed in this work was not perfect due to the variation in pH, invalid assumption and software limitation. Concentration profile can be predicted well when Ac/Al ratio is low and it squared error is low. Therefore, the kinetic model was only valid for condition of low Ac/Al ratio and at optimum temperature 30 – 40 ℃. The optimum condition of Ac/Al ratio was 0.217 to achieve 90% yield. Optimum time taken for 4 wt%, 8wt% and 12 wt% enzyme were 30.6 min, 23.3 min and 19.3 min respectively. |
