Terdapat tiga ciri-ciri luaran perumahan dalam kajian ini (ciri-ciri persekitaran, ciri-ciri lokasi dan rekaan luaran serta ruang). Walaupun terdapat kajian yang dilakukan sebelum ini di serata dunia mengenai aspek-aspek yang mempengaruhi pemilik rumah dalam membuat keputusan pembelian rumah, tetapi pemahaman tentang corak pembelian rumah oleh orang-orang Palestin di Genting Gaza adalah sangat terbatas. Kaedah pengumpulan data yang telah digunakan ialah kaji selidik melalui emel. Borang kaji selidik telah diolah menggunakan item-item yang diambil daripada kajian-kajian sedia ada tetapi diubahsuai khusus untuk penduduk-penduduk Gaza. Data-data telah dianalisa menggunakan analisis faktor dan regresi logistik berdasarkan 137 borang kaji selidik yang berjaya diperolehi.
Factors affecting housing purchasing decisions are of great importance worldwide. This study will investigate the factors influencing Palestinians decision to purchase houses in Gaza Strip. The study examines the effect of intrinsic and extrinsic housing attributes on the decision to purchase houses. The extrinsic housing attributes at this study consist of three attributes (Environmental attributes, location attributes and exterior design and space).While previous studies have investigated many aspects of the decision-making processes of home buyers worldwide, we have a limited understanding of the purchase behavior of Palestinian home buyers in Gaza Strip. The data collection method of email survey was used in this research. A questionnaire was developed using items taken from previous studies but applied specifically to Gaza people. Based on 137questionnaires, the data was analyzed using factor analysis and logistic regression.
