Protein ubiquitination is a highly regulated process that controls multiple physiologically and pathologically relevant mechanisms involved in tumor development. There is growing recognition that mutated deubiquitinating enzyme (DUBs) in human cancers suggesting their roles as oncogenes and tumor suppressors.
