The present study investigated the association between variants of TGFβ1 and SMAD4 genes using PCR-RFLP genotyping method. Pembentukkan keloid adalah sebabkan oleh faktor persekitaran and genetik. Dua jenis gen iaitu TGFβ1 dan SMAD4 yang terletak pada signal yang sama dan sangat tinggi di ekpresi di dalam fibroblast sel keloid. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyiasat kaitan di antara varian TGFβ1 dan SMAD4 gen menggunakan kaedah genotyping PCR-RFLP.
