This led to the coinage of the phrase “environmental sustainability” by the Brundtland Commission for the protection and sustainability of the environment, and less consumption of raw materials. It is also known as World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED). The objective of Green Human Resource Development (GHRD) practices, Islamic burial rites, and green burial are linked, as they are meant to achieve the sustainability of the environment, and natural resources conservation. To buttress and validate the arguments for the paper, Howard Bowen and Maurice Clark contribution to the sustainable development theories are introduced and explained accordingly. This research paper through a narrative review therefore discusses the positive impacts of GHRD practices, Islamic burial rites, and green burial on the natural environment and its ecosystem. Along with how they assist in the preservation of scarce natural resources. |
