Summary:The study on the effect ofshade on growth and biomass partitioning ofAmorphophallus bomeensis was carried out under greenhouse condition in University Malaysia Sarawak (UN/MAS). The plants were grown in the polybegs at 0%, 50% and 75% shading level. The shading will effect growth, plant dry weight and biomass partitioning. Generally, the growth ofAmorphophallus borneensis in 75% shading is better than the other shading level. The 75% shading level showed the highest values ofnumbers ofleave, plant height, leaf area, leaf weight ratio (L WR), stem weight ratio (SWR), specific leafarea (SLA), leafarea ratio (LAR) and leafarea duration (LAD). The 50% shading level also showed the highest values ofplant dry weight, root weight ratio (RWR), dry matter production (DMP) and net assimilation rate (NAR). The 0% shading level showed the highest value oflegume weight ratio (UWR) .
