description Inoculum of bacteria is developing for the decomposition of domestic waste, consisting of foodwaste. Microorganisms were isolated from samples of food waste collected from dumping sites. The bacteria isolated with the degradation properties for this inoculum development has been identified as Klebsiella oxytoca, identification of the bacteria was conducted at 2 level ; preliminary analysis and BBL Crystal Enteric/ Nonfermenter ID System, Various parameters for the optimization of inoculum activities was studied, including inoculum concentration, inoculum pH and temperature. The results show that the inoculum work best under pH 6, temperature 35°C, with concentration of 6.5 ml under incubation of 12 days. Further research should be conducted due to the potential of K. oxytoca in food waste degradation.
