description This study aims to obscure factors that influence absenteeism among the non-executive staffs at Jabatan Kerja Raya, Wisma Seberkas Kuching. Questionnaire related to this study was used to obtain feedback from 60 among clerks and technical workers at Jabatan Kerja Raya, Kuching. All data and information was analysed using the Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) program. T -test was used to seek the mean different between two or more variables in this studies such as age, marital status and educational level whereas Pearson Correlation was used to seek the relationship between absenteeism and factors relating to satisfaction towards the job itself, the reward system, the job environment, relationship with colleagues, sickness, transportation problem and family responsibilities. The result gain from this research shows that the rate of absenteeism among clerks and technical workers is only 20.42 %. Result showed, there have significant relationship between the absenteeism with gender, age and marital status. There are no significant between educational levels with absenteeism. Besides, there are only two factors that have no significant relationship with absenteeism which are job environment and sickness. Only 5 factors that are obscured to be significant: job satisfaction, rewards system, relationship with colleagues, family responsibilities, transportation problems.
