Description
Summary:Ribosomal proteins (RPs) are components of ribosomes which shown different expression patterns in cancer cells. The changes of RP expression pattern are associated with development and progression of tumour cells. There is lack of exisiting data comparing the expression levels of RPS15 in cancer cell lines. The main aim ofour research is to detect and compare the expression patterns of RPS15 in two cancer colon cell lines. Gene expressions of RPS15 was studied in CRC line (SW480 and HVT116), with GADPH as a reference gene. Optimization of reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was utilized and amplicaon produced was 115bp in length, before identifying the expression patterns of RPS15. RT-PCR was used to study expression levels of RPS15 and the runt throught agarose gel electrophoresis (AGE) to gain the result.
