Synthesis and characterization of organotin (IV) complexes of schiff base ligand containing -on donor atoms

Six organotin(lV) complexes of benzaldehyde-isonicotinic hydrazone ligand (1) with RnSnC14_n (n = 1,2) have been synthesized in the presence of base and refluxing methanol in I: I: 1 mole ratio (Iigand:base:metal). All organotin(lV) complexes (2-7) have been analyzed using FTIR, UV-Visible, CHN anal...

Description
Summary:Six organotin(lV) complexes of benzaldehyde-isonicotinic hydrazone ligand (1) with RnSnC14_n (n = 1,2) have been synthesized in the presence of base and refluxing methanol in I: I: 1 mole ratio (Iigand:base:metal). All organotin(lV) complexes (2-7) have been analyzed using FTIR, UV-Visible, CHN analyzer and IH NMR spectral studies. All organotin(lV) complexes (2-7) are n-electrolytic in nature. Spectral suggested that ligand (1) act as mononegative bidentate nature its organotin(lV) complexes. Therefore, a five coordinated molecular structure has been roposed for all the mentioned organotin(lV) complexes.
