description This study explores knowledge management practices in healthcare organizations. Healthcare practitioners are a knowledge-based community who depend on knowledge management activities and embracing ICT in search for better service quality for their organizations. It is evident that healthcare is a highly knowledge-intensive industry that can establish a learning organization, implement knowledge management and establish competitive edges. However, little studies have explored in the knowledge management process in clinical environment. This study's primary goal is to examine how clinicians (doctors and nurses) employ knowledge management process and so develop a knowledge management model. This study focuses on knowledge management practices among clinicians particularly on how they build their knowledge schemes, scan and use knowledge and how they use ICT to facilitate the process. By adopting an interpretive case study approach, two distinct roles of clinicians were selected to reflect how knowledge management process is being practiced in their organization. This study aims to provide a process model that will add to the existing models on knowledge management process; extend the initial model used in this study; examine the contribution of different clinicians to the model as well as guide practitioners in understanding and applying knowledge effectively.
