description Beberapa kompleks dioxomolybdenum(VI) mononuklear dengan pelbagai ligan monodentate seperti methanol, DMSO, DMF, HPA dan imidazole telah disediakan. Penukargantian ligan monodentate dengan ligan bidentate seperti 4,4-bipyridine and 4,4 bipyridine N,N’dioxide, ataupun dihydrazone menghasilkan kompleks dioxomolybdenum dinuklear. Siri kedua dioxomolybdenum dinuklear telah dihasilkan dengan menggunakan ligan hexadentate tetraanionic dihydrazone. Pembentukan dioxomolybdenum multi-nuklear dapat dicapai dengan menggunakan ligan 4,4-bipyridine dan ligan hexadentate tetraanionic melalui hubungan kumpulan penderma-penerima serta ikatan hidrogen yang kuat. Kesemua kompleks tersebut telah dicirikan melalui teknik analisis unsur, UV, IR, 1H dan13C NMR spektroskopi, analisis haba and voltammetri berkitar. Struktur berhablur bagi kebanyakan kompleks tersebut telah dikenalpasti melalui teknik pembelauan X-ray. Akhirnya, ujikaji tentang kesan keadaan tindak balas yang berbeza seperti kepekatan mangkin, kepekatan substrat dan suhu tindak balas terhadap sifat pemangkinan kompleks dioxomolybdenum(VI) dalam pengoksidaan alkohol telah dijalankan.
