| description | Web Portal For Schools (WPFS) is a web-based school management system. It is one of the smart school's concepts to integrate all the school management stuffs into an electronic environment. It is a revolution of the traditional school management system. The objectives of WPFS include:
-Integrate the major school tasks which are carried out manually into a paperless environment (Web Portal).
-Enable teachers to manage their work in a more systematic and convenient way.
-Enable the headmaster to monitor the progress of every event in school easily and manage his/her task effectively.
-Enable students to get bandy school's information and view their own details.
-Enable PIBG to be aware of all the activities which are held in school and review the parents' association's reports.
In order to provide such an environment in schools, WPFS has been developed to provide five main sections: Student Section, Teacher Section,
Headmaster Section, PIBG Section and School Administrator Section. The Student Section allows the students to view all the information in school such as announcements, examination results, their own profiles, school activities, calendar and timetable. The students can also interact with teachers, headmaster, school administrator or PIBG through e-Forum. The Teacher Section allows the teachers to view all the school's information, prepare syllabus plan and lesson plan for headmaster's validation, validate activities, post announcements, record students' attendance, monitor and analyze reports, prepare grading reports, manage their own timetable and interact through e-Forum. The Headmaster Section allows the headmaster to view all the school's information, validate syllabus plan and lesson plan, monitor and analyze reports, post comments, manage his/her timetable, interact through e-Forum and post announcements. The School Administrator Section allows the school administrator to view all the school's information, post announcements, supervise the contents of the activities, trace the action of the users in e-Forum Module and Activity Module, monitor and analyze reports and interact through e-Forum. The PIBG Section allows the parents to view all the school's general information, view relevant reports and interact through e-Forum. WPFS has been developed to help administrators to manage their task effectively and efficiently. Students and parents will also be able to get the school information easily and rapidly by using this system.
