| description | The aim of this research is to study the establishment of Sekolah Menengah Agama al-Diniah al-Islamiah (SMADI) and the development of the Islamic education system especially in the Kuala Kangsar district and basically in Perak state. This study covers the examination of the system in SMADI that has been upgraded to Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK). To complete this study, the related primary sources have been obtained from resource centers including Pusat Sumber Tun Abdul Razak, Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK), Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia, related documents gathered from the documentation room in respective schools, an interview session with the SMADI Principal Dr. Hj. Jurij b. Jalaludin and his contributions to the development of SMADI. The discussions cover the infrastructures facilities of SMADI in the early of its establishment compared to today. The finding of this research explain the history of the early SMADI establishment, the development and its transformation done by Dr. Hj. Jurij b. Jalaludin. This research is using qualitative methodology.
