The purpose of this project paper is to analyzing the main sources which is Al-Quran and Sunnah, to analyzing the differences school of thought that consist of Shafi'I, Maliki, Hanbali and Hanafi, to analyzing the current position of our statute which is Islamic Family Law (Federal Territories) Act 1984 (act 303) and lastly determine whether the role of wali in nowadays are still relevance and practical to be practiced. For this paper project, we are conducted qualitative type of research that consist of library-based and Internet research.
