| description | The purpose of this research is to study the effects of behaviour of water element in animation. It began from the purpose and symbol of water element in film and animation studies, for examples, waves, splashes, rain and ripples. The main focus of this research is to observe the physical change of water element in aspects of shape, colour or motion, to embody the emotions of character in scene. Also, this observation is based on a few animation films that had been chosen based on a few factors. First of all, only film with 90 percent of water element is involved and mostly this main element takes a main role in the story plot. Thus, Ponyo by Ghibli Studio and Song of the Sea by Cartoon Saloon will be the main case study. Besides that, this animation will be dissect carefully based on past journals and articles that are associated with main element of this research, which is water element. This is important as it is able to help create the astounding water element in coming soon animation, The Prayer. |
