Summary:The studies are want to understand the information contain in financial statements with a view to know the strength or weaknesses of the firm and thereby enabling the financial analyst to take different decisions regarding the operations of the firm. The beginning parts of this thesis are introducing the Farmers’ Association and Farmers Organisation Company as one financial institution in Malaysia. The existence of Muar Selatan Farmers’ Association is to increase social and economic status of its members though direct involvement in carrying out required activities to achieve its objectives. This report provides information obtained through ratio analysis, regarding the profitability and turnover of Muar Selatan Farmers’ Association for the years 2006- 2010. This report will pay particular attention to the earning power, inventory and turnover management, and will highlight major strengths and weaknesses while offering some explanation for observed changes. However, the negatively significant relationship is found between measures by gap identification. The report will comment on the prospects of the company profitability ratio of Muar Selatan Farmers’ Association. The conclusion finds the prospects of the company in its current position. The major areas of weakness require further investigation and remedial action by management. Finally recommendations discussed will elaborate like improving the profitability and increasing turnover.
