description Our current state of recycling percentage is only at 10.5 percent while other countries have gone far with 70 percent of recycling. This shows that Malaysia is still at the back and needs an enhancement (Ismail, 2014). Recycle is only 10.5%. Datuk Noriah Hashim says that this happens due to the lack of awareness within all of the community. They don’t acknowledge about how the recycle happens. She also states that if this situation is still in the same state then recycling performance in this country won’t be improved. Thus, the environment won’t be as pleasant as how other countries are. Local states have undergone a research where only 0.8 kilogram of wastage has been produced by the local households. However, this could not withstand all 28millions of people in Malaysia if they produce 0.8 kilograms wastage for each of them. She says that government expects for 33 000 tons of wastage would be produced in 2020. However, this figure is unexpectedly reaching in 2012. The awareness of the people should be enhanced by giving them as much knowledge that they deserve. She also mentions about the statistic according to how it should be. 44.5 percent is for food, 13.8 percent is for plastic followed by 12.1 percent for pampers and 5.8 percent is for other wastages. Datuk Noriah Hashim also hopes that it will be aroused to 22 percent in 2020 which she thinks that government has the capability of arising the percentage.
