description The oil palm tree or its scientific name Elaies guineensis originates from West Africa where it growth and developed into agricultural crop. In early 1870, the oil palm was introduced to Malaysia as an ornamental plant. In Malaysia, the oil palm had become an important crop because it contributes in the economic growth for agriculture. Current oil palm yield in Malaysia are decrease because of water stress. The uncertainty of climate change will cause declining of oil palm yield. This study was conducted the relationship between the rainfall, temperature and wind speed toward oil palm yield. This study used secondary data collection. The data was collected at Malaysian Meteorological Department and LKPP Sri Keruing, Gambang for 5 years period (2013-2017).The statistical analysis (correlation and regression) were applied to the dataset used for the study. The result of the research reveal that there are variabilities in rainfall, temperature and wind speed by years and rainfall give a significant effect toward FFB yield while the temperature and wind speed does not influence the oil palm yield. As a conclusion, the climate change play an important role in improving the oil palm yield.
