| description | The main intention of this research is to send a message to the Malaysian public that there is something serious wrong and weakness with our housing estates which is caused social problems. A property crime is the main subject to be highlighted and specifically focused to house break-ins cases. Each year the numbers of house break-ins are drastically increases and crimes against property or belongings are known to be in top ranked. To overcome this particular crime, there are safety devices that available in our local market and the most frequent in use is safety grille. Most of the houses in all housing estates are fitted with this steel oriented safety device in order to prevent break-in. Unfortunately, break-ins still happen weather day and night while safety precaution had been practiced and it is directly affect to the public from all areas. This is serious social problems that need a preventative action as an urgently subject and to propose a new concept of safety devices there are important things to be considered. Safety is in top ranked while practicality is the most concerned in order to have anti-breaking home safety grille. Statistics from Polis Diraja Malaysia are supportive information in order to clarify and identify the characteristic of house break-in cases in terms of accuracy and it is important to be familiar with home safety grille before further development process. From this research, it is hope to find a better solution in order to prevent property crime especially house break-ins. As majority still feel that safety grille are safer in terms of preventing this particular crime it is clearly shows that an enhancement of home safety grille are the most significant and effective preventative action that can be practiced. |
