description The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors of job burnout among female teachers in Muar district. The subjects of the study were 254 female teachers of secondary schools. A demographic questionnaire was used to collect the data regarding the individual characteristic (age, status, race, highest education level, basic salary, working length as a teacher, and length of distance to go to work). The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) by (Maslach, Jackson, & Schwab, 1986) was employed to collect the data concerning the burnout levels of the teachers. Three factors which are work overload, work environment and student misbehaviour was found to have a significant relationship with job burnout. The recommendation for future researcher is to broaden the sample size by obtaining a larger population of the study. Future researchers can carry out this study which focus to other professions such as firefighter and airlines pilot.
