| Summary: | The Institute of Science has a relatively short but fruitly history, since its establishment in 2004. It is one of UiTM's centers of excellence recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. IOS involves mainly in conducting basic and fundamental research through the five research centers under its umbrella. Researchers composed of various background and expertise, such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Engineering, playing leading roles in fields such as Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, Organic Synthesis, Nanomaterials and Research and Innovation in Sustainable Energy. They interact in research projects to generate new findings and exploring solutions for various scientific and technology problems. Thus, activities of IOS cover important research and development areas, encompassing new perspectives, emerging fields of research and technological challenges worldwide.
