Description
Summary:A new code of Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) namely optical Zero Cross Correlation (ZCC) is proposed in this paper. The code construction design is flexible since the number of user and weight can easily be increased using mapping and transformation method respectively .The performance of the system with the proposed code is simulated and analyzed using Optisys 5.0 in comparison the distance of network used. Besides, ZCC code demonstrates an excellent performance of BER since it was designed in such that no cross correlation between the users. In other words element of Phase Induced Intensity Noise (PIIN) is eliminated. The results show that by using ZCC code the distance can achieve up to 100km with acceptable BER. The combination of direct decoding also contribute a great effect to the overall system performance.©2007 IEEE.
