description The Covid-19 pandemic disrupted lives and livelihood but a high burden was placed on healthcare workers who worked the frontlines in the response and management of the pandemic. Organizations will need to understand the impact of the pandemic on the work-life balance of their healthcare workforce with the goal of strengthening the healthcare system while preparing for future pandemic response. This study will understand the perceptions of work-life balance among healthcare workers in Malaysia during the pandemic by examining the role that disruptions to work flow, available resources, perceptions of risk and leadership have on the work life balance of healthcare workers throughout the pandemic. Quantitative survey data was collected from 61 healthcare workers in Malaysia. The study found relationships between disruptions to the workflow, available resources and leadership with work life balance of healthcare workers although the relationship between healthcare workers perceptions of risk with work life balance was inconclusive. These findings contribute to greater understanding of the work life balance of healthcare workers throughout the pandemic. Recommendations for organizations to safeguard healthcare workers is proposed. The study also covered limitations and recommendations for future research.
