Summary:Telemedicine is playing an increasingly important role in China, but there is a high turnover rate among sales staff in this industry, which have huge negative impacts on telemedicine companies. However, there are few researches on telemedicine in China, not to mention the sales personnel in this industry. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to explore the main factors affecting the turnover intention of those employees, then propose recommendations to solve the undesirable phenomenon of high turnover from the root. This study adopted a quantitative research method. A closed-ended questionnaire was conducted in this research, with a sample size of 284 valid questionnaires. Through statistical method, collected data is analysed and the research findings are compared with previous studies. The research findings show that job satisfaction, organizational commitment, work stress, compensation, promotion opportunities, social support and distributive justice are significantly related to turnover intention. Among them, job satisfaction, compensation, social support, and distribution justice have a significant ability to explain the turnover intention. Finally, this study provides some suggestions for Chinese telemedicine companies to reduce the turnover rate of sales staff.
