| description | Social enterprises facilitate to rethink organization-environment dynamics because of their distinctive missions and models found in most countries. The study found that the social enterprise field in Bangladesh is susceptible to dual isomorphic pressures. They face a significant level of coercive and mimetic isomorphism influence within the local institutional environment and they also have a distinct relationship with the state. Propositions are developed for social enterprise field towards the country’s macro-level environment, enabling or constraining the field regarding prospects and perils. Based on the discussion of imposed & unpremeditated pressures, the relationship between these two actors are redefined. Limitations & implications for future research in supposed context is also discussed. |
