Section I is the introduction to liner shipping and collaborative logistics. Sector II discusses collaborative logistics, advantages and disadvantages, also deals with horizontal collaboration. Section III presents liner shipping and issues such as practices within the industry, alliances made by companies, the limitation of the industry and some regulations. Section IV reviews a model for profit-sharing. Section V discusses the involvement of ports in liner shipping. Finally, Section VI presents the conclusion.
